- Size of Engine compartment, Cockpit and Cargo Bay. |
The VMAR Beaver 120 ARF is the Pickup Truck of
the RC Scene. Easy to operate with huge cargo carrying capacity and the
ability to lift big loads... the VMAR Beaver 120 ARF is perfect for
cameras, video, instrumentation, electronics etc.
We have had all sorts of questions about the sizes of the Engine compartment, Cockpit and Cargo Bay. Here is some information that may prove helpful if you are considering getting your own airborne freighter!
"Long"
refers to dimensions running fore and aft. "Wide" refers to
dimensions that lie across the fuselage from left to right and
"High" refers to dimensions that run from bottom to top i.e.
perpendicular to the plane of the wing.
-
The Engine compartment is approx 8.5" wide x 9.75" high x
5.5" long. The cowl is a min of approx 8.5" diameter inside
all the way around.
-
The Cockpit is approx 8" wide x 6" high x 8" long. The
6" high is limited by the dashboard. Most of the space is 7-8"
high. Please keep in mind that the Cockpit is vacant and available only
if you do NOT install the optional Cockpit Set consisting of a two seat
and two pilot arrangement.
-
The Cargo Bay is approx 9" wide x 7" high by 8" long.
This is above the control rod and servo tray area.
All
measurements are conservative and rounded down a bit.
